A POPULAR theatre company is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a week of performances at the Palace Theatre.
Alcester Musical Theatre Company will be staging their production of Anything Goes from Tuesday, October 1, to Saturday, October 5, at 7.30pm each night with a 2.30pm Saturday matinée.
Set in the 1930s, the story follows the madcap antics aboard the SS America, an ocean liner bound from New York to London, and is filled with comedy, dance and energy.
Chair Debbie Salkeld said: “We’ve had another busy year with performances at Ragley Hall last Christmas, several charity concerts for local organisations in and around Alcester, our own annual Spring Concert and we’ve also had the pleasure of singing at the weddings of three of our members since Easter.
“The Palace Theatre Centenary Concert was fantastic and we were thrilled to get a standing ovation. With a busy schedule lined up for the rest of the year, it looks like the next 50 years will fly by too.”
Visit www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk or call 01527 65203 for tickets costing £12.50 for the Tuesday to Thursday performances, £13 for the Friday and Saturday performances or £10 for the matinée.
