RESIDENTS wanting to quit smoking or get free health checks can take advantage of a new service coming to North Worcestershire.
Mytime Active, located in Bromsgrove, Redditch and Kidderminster, will offer drop-in clinics and treatments, including nicotine replacement therapy for smokers wanting to kick the habit.
The NHS checks will include cholesterol and blood pressure checks and then the team of Mytime Active specialists will be on hand to offer help, advice and information on healthy living programmes.
The services were commissioned by Worcestershire County Council in April and the services were officially launched earlier this month.
Mytime Active’s senior manager Anna Skeats said the checks were a great chance for people to have a quick health MOT.
“Those eligible can have their BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose checked by specialist staff.
“The teams are then able to offer support and guidance about the results and signpost to appropriate local lifestyle services.”
