VOLUNTEERS are needed to help record the memories of former Redditch workers.
As part of their Engineering The Past project, Jestaminute Community Theatre is collecting the stories of residents who worked in the town between 1939 and 1964.
Anyone volunteering can take part in free interviewing technique sessions at Redditch Library from 10am to 1pm on October 2 and 9, run by Worcestershire County Council archaeology and archives department.
Artistic director Andy Higgitt said: "1939 to 1964 was a significant time for Redditch, and it is important that we capture these rich memories so that future generations can share this important history of their town.
"Some interviewer training has already been carried out with pupils and staff from Holyoakes Field, Oakhill and Birchensale schools. They have then invited small groups of people into their schools to share and record their memories. We now want to expand the project out and capture stories from all over the town."
