A PAIR of Redditch pupils are set to take the plunge to fund vital brain tumour research.
Rafe Walker and Sam Khoury, both aged 13, will be abseiling more than 150ft down the Wesleyan Building tomorrow (Saturday) in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The duo, who both attend St Augustine’s Catholic High School, are the youngest to be taking part in the event, inspired by Rafe’s own experiences having been diagnosed with a brain tumour aged eight.
His mother Liz said the boys had known each other since pre-school and were ‘very brave’ to be taking on the challenge.
Rafe has raised nearly £40,000 for the hospital through various events, including shaving his hair off this July.
