A PAIR of plucky Redditch residents are set to take to the skies in a bid to raise money for life-saving equipment.
Scott Preston and Rebecca Jordan, both from Lakeside, will be completing a parachute jump in aid of Redditch Heart Safe on Wednesday, September 25.
Scott said they aimed to raise £1,000 which would be enough to purchase a defibrillator and training session at a borough school.
"Robert and Maggie Underwood work tirelessly to raise awareness of sudden arrhythmic death syndrome and both felt the charity does great work in helping to save lives.
"I'm very terrified of heights so this is going to be one of the most frightening experiences of my life, but it's for a very worthy cause.
"I would like to thank those that have sponsored us so far, including the deputy mayor of Redditch."
