ALCESTER pulled in the crowds for the Tug of War Association National Championships.
The town played host to a further round of the games at the Jubilee Pavilion Fields over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Teams from across the country competed on the day, while the British Champions also made an appearance fresh form their silver medal victory in Columbia.
Town councillor Eric Payne, who is also the chairman of the Jubilee Pavilion Committee, said: “Tug of War is a sport growing in popularity worldwide.
“We were very lucky to share our new facilities with the national squad. We wish them every success at the European Championships to be held in the Netherlands in September.”
