ANIMALS, music, children's activities and more were on offer during a family fun day at Woodrow Centre.
The event on Friday (August 23) also marked the reopening of the district's library following a three-month refurbishment.
Coun Pattie Hill, who funded the event with fellow councillor Andy Fry, said it had been a 'really super' day which had seen around 200 people attending.
"One dad said to me 'I'm a single parent and could not afford all these sorts of things so it has been smashing', that's all I need to hear. It is all down to Maureen and team from What's Your Point plus Steph and her team at the library, huge thanks to all who contributed."
Library manager Steph Edkins added: "Thank you to councillors Pattie Hill and Andy Fry for funding the day and to Maureen Hayden from What's Your Point.
"Huge thanks also go to everybody who attended, this year's attendance was so much higher than we expected and it was great that everyone got to see the new library."
