A REDDITCH motorcyclist injured in a crash in Bromsgrove on Sunday afternoon (August 18) is in a critical but stable condition in intensive care at Birmingham's QE Hospital.
The collision which happened at around 2.40pm involved a Triumph motorbike being ridden by the man in his 20s and a Skoda driven by a man in his 50s from Walsall. The driver was not hurt in the incident.
PC Sian Norman said: "Given the seriousness of the injuries we are carrying out a thorough investigation and we want to hear from anyone who saw the collision or noticed the motorcycle or car involved immediately beforehand.
"In particular we would like to hear from the driver of a car which we understand was travelling behind the Skoda but did not stop at the scene.
"That person may well be able to help us build up a better picture of what happened."
The rider sustained a serious head injury in the crash, along with abdominal and pelvic injuries.
He was anaesthetised by a trauma doctor aboard the air ambulance and a pelvic splint, neck collar and spinal board were also used as the man was flown to the QE.
Anyone with any information should call PC Norman at Rubery Police Station on 101.
