A MAN was left with a broken jaw after an early morning assault in the town centre.
The incident happened between 4am and 4.30am on Sunday, August 18, outside the Fisherman's Catch on Bates Hill.
The 26-year-old victim had been on a night out when he became involved in an altercation with some men he did not know. One of them punched him, causing him to fall to the ground.
The following day he went to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where it was discovered he had a broken jaw.
