A MATHS master proved he was top of the class after achieving a perfect score in his SATs exams.
Owen King, a Year 6 pupil at Woodfield Academy, gained full marks in his maths tests and was one of 16 students from the school to achieve more than 90 per cent.
Head of maths Meddon Turner said: “Owen’s incredible score couldn’t be more deserved with him being the sort of pupil who always gives 100 per cent in lessons and now he has a fitting reward for that dedication and effort.
“When I asked about what he hoped to get in the tests, he estimated about 85 per cent. It was therefore a huge surprise to him when he was told that he’d got everything correct.”
