CHILDREN at a Redditch school were inspired to host a charity cricket match after hearing from a community fund-raiser.
St George’s First School raised £54.55 after Lucy Baylis from the Primrose Hospice visited to tell them about her job working for the charity, which provides support for residents affected by cancer in the borough and neighbouring Bromsgrove.
She said: “I was delighted to visit the school and talk to the children about my role at Primrose Hospice.
“I hope I gave them a good insight into charity work and encouraged them to support their community.”
