POP ART was the inspiration for a group of Headless Cross students as they created a mural.
Walkwood Academy pupils took part in a workshop with artist Elita Rose, designing and painting a Roy Lichtenstein inspired wall mural in the newly-refurbished art room.
A spokeswoman for the school said the pupils had shown a real flair for art and drawing and painting in particular and this was a great opportunity for them to work with and be inspired by an artist.
Year 8 pupil Beth Coleman said: “It was really fun painting on a large scale than I’m used to. It was really helpful working with a professional artist. We knew exactly what to do and she gave us advice on how to improve.”
