Jogger left with serious leg injuries after car smash

A JOGGER has been left with serious leg injuries after a collision with a car.

Two people have been arrested following the incident, which happened at 8.15pm on Tuesday (March 12).

The jogger, a 17-year-old, was in collision with a silver Renault Clio and was left with a broken fibia, bruised tibia and dislocated ankle. He is still in the Alexandra Hospital and may require several operations.

A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were arrested in Redditch in the early hours of this morning (Friday) on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in custody assisting with inquiries.
