A TEENAGER was robbed of his mobile phone as he walked in Hollywood on Friday (March 8).

The incident happened at around 8.50pm when the 18-year-old, who was aware of someone behind him, turned into Sycamore Drive from Beech Road.

The attacker threatened him with a knife and demanded he hand over his white Apple iPhone 4S.

The victim threw his phone to him and the knifeman, who was white, in his 30s, of slim to average build and 5ft 10ins tall, ran off back into Beech Road.

The attacker spoke with a Birmingham accent and was also wearing grey trainers and a dark grey tracksuit, which had matching hooded top and bottoms.

Det Con Jake Wright, from Bromsgrove CID, said: “We are eager to hear from anyone who was in the Beech Road or Sycamore Drive area on Friday evening and thinks they may have seen this man or the robbery taking place."

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call Det Con Wright on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
