Hi: 10° Lo:2° 7 day

A TELEVISION, jewellery and an iPod were among items stolen from two homes which were burgled during the day.
The first home in Berkeley Close, Winyates Green, was targeted between 9.40am and 1.30pm on Monday (March 4) when thieves forced their way in through a conservatory door.
They searched the bedrooms and stole jewellery, a Galaxy tablet computer and a suitcase to carry the belongings in.
A second home on Jersey Close in Church Hill was broken into between 9.15 am and 4.30pm on Wednesday (March 6). A glass door panel was smashed and a 28in Sony TV was taken.
The break-ins are now being linked to similar burglaries in Foredrift Close, Southcrest, on February 15 in which an iPod and jewellery were stolen and in Birchfield Road, Webheath, on February 27 where jewellery and perfume were taken.
Det Con Clare Johnson said all of the burglaries happened during the day after gaining access through rear doors or windows.
"The latest burglaries, in Berkeley Close and Jersey Close, are noteworthy because the offenders took a suitcase from one house and a large television set from the other. Someone carrying a suitcase or a TV is likely to have attracted attention."
Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
