A SEVENTH man has been charged in connection with the escape of prisoner John Anslow.

Six men appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Friday (March 1) and an additional person has now been charged with conspiring to assist with his escape from lawful custody. The 51-year-old will appear at the same court on Monday (March 11).

Anslow escaped from a prison van which was on its way from HMP Hewell to Stafford Crown Court in January 2012 while he was in custody charged with murder.
