A GROUP of men have been charged with helping prisoner John Anslow escape.
Six men arrested yesterday (Wednesday) are set to appear in court charged with conspiracy to assist in the escape.
Anslow - who is still on the run - was set to stand trial for a murder and was travelling from HMP Hewell in Tardebigge where he was in custody to Stafford Crown Court.
The men, who are aged between 20 and 47, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday). A seventh man has not been charged and has been released on bail.
Police made the arrests at addresses in Redditch, Dudley and Birmingham.
