A COUGHTON pub is launching a new beer which promises to be a roaring success with customers.
The Throckmorton Arms on Coughton Hill, will be serving up the new Hooky Lion beer after Hook Norton brewers used the pub’s famous lion’s head to feature on the beer pump.
The new ale, which contains four English hops and four English malts, will be available permanently alongside other traditional beers on tap.
And as an extra treat for customers, anyone who buys a main meal this weekend (March 2 and 3) will receive either a half pint of Hooky Lion or a 125ml measure of wine free.
Manager Stephen Newbrook said: “This is a great beer to feature in the pub, especially because of its links with our unmissable Lion’s head carving.”
