A MAN charged with stealing more than £750,000 from a Redditch bank is set to stand trial next month.
Benjamin Sookia of Outwood Close, Oakenshaw, will appear at Worcester Crown Court on March 25 after a hearing before magistrates on Monday (February 25).
He is alleged to have taken £752,115 from the Halifax branch in the town centre while working as a counter support officer. Money was taken from an account used to supply funds to an ATM machine between September 2011 and July 2012.
The 26-year-old, who has been suspended from work, has not yet entered a plea against three count of theft by an employee totalling £187,115 and a further three counts of fraud by abuse of position worth £565,000.
