YOUTHS suspected of killing of a Lakeside man will be appearing before magistrates today charged with manslaughter.

Three of the five teenagers, two aged 17 and another aged 16, arrested following the death of Nigel Shakespeare as he walked home from the Kings Arms on Sunday (February 24) are set to appear at Redditch Magistrates Court. The other two have been released without charge.

A post mortem carried out yesterday confirmed the 50-year-old had died as a result of head injuries following an incident in Sillins Avenue at 12.25am.

Detective chief inspector Tony Love expressed his gratitude to members of the public who had already come forward as witnesses and said their contribution had been vital to the investigation.

Anyone with any information who has not yet come forward should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
