YOUNG people from Redditch aged nine and upwards can put their entrepreneurial skills to the test and raise funds for a good cause at the same time by taking part in the Primrose Hospice's Flourishing Fivers.

Each student is given £5 and is challenged to make it grow into as much money as possible between now and the end of the year.

Ventures that others have done in the past include making crafts or cakes to sell, offering a service, such as dog-walking or babysitting or organising a raffle, jumble sale or bring and buy sale.

Participants can work individually or together and pool the funds.

At the end of the year, the person or group to have made the most cash will receive an award for their achievement.

All entrants will get a certificate.
