YOUNGSTERS have been busy creating artwork to decorate the walls of a new youth club.

Members of Your Ideas had the chance to get creative ahead of the opening of the club at Arrow Vale Academy later this month, part of a three-year project to give 13 to 19-year-olds more to do.

The Positive Activities Zone scheme, funded by Worcestershire County Council, is a collaboration between the organisation based at Matchborough Centre, the school and Redditch Skatepark and will see activities on offer four nights a week as well as events at the BMX track.

Your Ideas project director Pauline Marshall said: "We are hoping to support the young people to develop their own programme.

"It's absolutely brilliant news for this side of town and will give much more choice to young people about the activities they're participating in."
