TALENTED Bromsgrove School student Fran Kingston is set to sing on stage at Droitwich’s Norbury Theatre alongside a Britain’s Got Talent finalist.

The 17-year-old was chosen to perform with Julian Smith during the concert on February 23.

The aspiring vet has sung both in choirs and as a soloist in cathedrals in the UK, Rome and New York.

Her mother Louise said when Fran, who has been nicknamed ‘the singing vet’ by staff at her work experience placements, heard Julian was looking for youngsters to perform with him, so she sent him a copy of her CD. Just a day later she received

a phone call from him to invite her on stage.

“Alongside her studies she has been singing and acting since about 2008 when she was spotted and invited to a recording studio, but singing has always been very much Fran’s hobby and relaxation.

“She is incredibly excited that Julian has asked her to take part in this show.”
