Mobile phone robbery in town centre

A WOMAN was robbed of her mobile phone while walking through Batchley.

The 22-year-old victim was walking towards the town centre on Cedar Road between 12.30pm and 1pm on Monday (February 18) when she was approached by three youths.

One of them grabbed hold of her coat and tried to take her phone while the other two boys later joined in.

One of the offenders was white and wore a white or cream waist length jacket with a white hooded top underneath, a baseball cap and white tracksuit bottoms.

Another who was also white, wore a navy hooded top with the hood up and light blue jeans. The third offender was black with a goatee beard and wore a black hooded top with the hood up, black jeans and trainers.

All three of the boys are believed to be aged about 16 and 17.
