STAFF at a Webheath shop are celebrating after being nominated for a Convenience Retail Award.

Biddle's Simply Fresh on Birchfield Road has been named as one of the finalists in the Small Convenience Store category ahead of the awards dinner and celebration on March 20.

More than 200 retailers applied this year, with only 23 shortlisted for the final after two judging stages.

Owner Simon Biddle said: "It is an honour to have been shortlisted at the initial stage of judging, let alone as a finalist at the awards.

"We are extremely passionate about our approach to running Biddle's Simply Fresh with a focus on fresh, locally sourced produce, and so we are proud to be recognised for this and of course very excited to attend the glamorous awards ceremony."
