THERE will be snowdrops aplenty on show at a Beoley church this weekend.

St Leonard's is set to open its grounds tomorrow and Sunday (February 16 and 17) to allow visitors enjoy the carpet of white flowers which signal the start of spring.

The 12th century church will also be hosting a display showing its history, complete with the tombs of the wealthy and influential Sheldon family, and an exhibition from Beoley Stitchcraft.

The Snowdrop Weekend runs from 10am to 4pm tomorrow and 12pm to 4pm on Sunday, with visitors welcome to attend church services at 8am, 9.30am and 10.45am.
