Reds set for crunch encounter

By Liam Moakes Thursday 20 December 2012 Updated: 07/01 14:25

REDDITCH UNITED face a crucial match at home to Hitchin Town tomorrow as they bid to ease their Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division worries.

The Reds have dropped to second bottom of the table following Hitchin’s 1-0 victory at Bashley on Tuesday and they head into the match at the Valley a point and a place below tomorrow’s visitors.

However, Simon Redhead’s team are incredibly just seven points behind tenth placed Chippenham Town, who they also have two games in hand on, so a mid-table position is still well within their grasp as the season approaches the halfway stage.

The Reds then visit high-flying Stourbridge on Boxing Day (3pm), before hosting Gosport Borough on December 29 (3pm) and Banbury United on January 1 (3pm).
