WORKING phonelines and internet access has been restored for some residents living in Church Hill.
It follows repairs on three underground cables which were damaged by vandals on Tuesday leaving around 600 residents without phonelines or internet access.
Engineers have been at the junction of Easemore Road and Dale Road since Wednesday (January 29) trying to fix the damaged cables.
A spokeswoman for BT Openreach said: "Repair work on the less damaged cable went to plan overnight and some customers have had their services restored.
"Work continues on replacing the other two cables and will continue, so as work continues round the clock, so more people will have their services back on today and into the evening and weekend."
Anyone with any information should call Redditch Police on 101 quoting crime reference number 97-N-300113 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
