A ROBBER armed with a knife demanded money from two food store workers.

The incident happened at the Co-Op on Evesham Road at 8.30pm on Thursday, January 31.

He approached two members of staff who were tidying the store and made them go to the till and open it, grabbing a quantity of notes and a tray of coins from the drawer and then making them put more coins on top.

The offender was white, 5ft 8in, stocky and wearing a black balaclava, black top, jeans and ski gloves.

DC Dave Jennings said: "Luckily no-one was hurt but this was a very frightening experience for the two shop assistants, and we would like to speak to anyone with information.

"We believe the offender headed in the direction of Astwood Bank, and would appeal for anyone who saw him to contact us."

Anyone with any information should call DC Jennings on 101, quoting incident number 665-S-310113, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
