ST STEPHEN’S First school pupils are raising the flag for eco-friendly schools across the borough.
Students at the Mabey Avenue based school received the prestigious Green Flag award after improving their recycling, energy use and developing the school’s ground.
Two pupils from each year group were chosen to create the eco school council which pushed for the environmentally friendly work across the school.
Mike Garrat, acting deputy headteacher and leader of the eco schools, said: “The school are proudly flying their green flag for the environment, in recognition of the proud work they have completed to achieve it.”
Redditch MP Karen Lumley joined pupils to help raise the flag with the pole donated by Beoley based Oakland International.
