Update
More school closures after today's snow

SCHOOLS are beginning to close early due to today's snowfall.

Tardebigge CE First School told parents to collect children by 2.15pm and provide them with a packed lunch as there is no hot lunch service. Matchborough First School students should also be collected as soon as possible after 1pm due to worsening conditions.

Crown Meadow First and Alvechurch Middle Schools have both closed due to having no power or water.

While St George's CE First School are also asking parents to collect children from 1.00pm and the nursery is closed.

Parents are also being told to pick up children from Woodfield Middle School, from 1.15pm today.

And Meadow Green Primary School have asked parents to pick up children from 2.35 pm. There are no breakfast or after school clubs running today.

Several schools were closed this morning and more were partially shut after snow hit overnight on Tuesday (January 23).

St Luke's CE First School and The Kingfisher School both shut today (Wednesday) after 4cm of snow caused icy conditions.

Church Hill Middle School, Oakhill First School, Tardebigge CE First School, Meadow Green Primary are open but extended their registration time till 10am this morning.
