Hi: 14° Lo:3° 7 day

THERE will be power slams, bear hugs and dropkicks aplenty as the thrills and spills of LDN Wrestling comes to Redditch for the first time.
The show takes place at the Palace Theatre in Redditch on Thursday, February 7 from 7.30pm and will see the LDN British Heavyweight Championship defended. Reigning champion the Peckham Playboy Hakan will take on the 35 stone battling Barbarian Karl Krammer, Europe's largest wrestler who has battled the greats from WWE stars such as Earthquake to British legends like Big Daddy.
The show will also feature a ten wrestler championship rumble, with each wrestler joining at one minute intervals until all have made it into the ring. The only way to eliminate a wrestler will be to throw them over the top rope until only one remains.
Tickets cost £12 and £10 for concessions and £40 for a family of four. Doors open from 7pm. Tickets will be available on the door or from the box office on 01527 652203. The show is suitable for all ages.
* THE Standard has four sets of VIP family tickets to give away, which include the chance to meet the wrestlers after the show.
