MORE snow is expected to fall overnight but it is ice forecasters say now presents the biggest problem.

Up to 2cm of the white stuff could fall on Sunday evening and the early hours of Monday morning but it is not expected to cause the widespread disruption of Friday.

On top of that temperatures will fall to minus 2 and remain there for most of Sunday and Monday, adding a layer of ice to any snow.

The forecast for the rest of next week show sub-zero temperatures will remain but apart from a small chance of a sleet or snow shower on Tuesday, no more significant snowfall is expected.

Gritting crews will continue to work around the clock but the advice to motorists remains to alter their driving to suit conditions and never assume it is safe to travel at normal speeds just because a road has been gritted.

Redditch began to return to normal on Saturday after Friday's disruption. Most main routes were clear and passable with care and the town centre was busier.
