Court appearance over firearms charge

A BATCHLEY man has appeared in court charged with three attempted robberies and possession of an imitation firearm.

Alex Cole of Salters Lane was remanded in custody by magistrates today (Wednesday) after being charged with attempting to rob residents of their vehicles.

Several householders in Matchborough reported they had been threatened by a man demanding car keys on Monday (January 14). No one was hurt during the incidents.

The 30-year-old will appear at Worcester Crown Court on April 22.
