Concerns for man lead to highway closure

By Connie Osborne Monday 14 January 2013 Updated: 15/01 09:09

THE WARWICK Highway had to be closed amid concerns for a man's safety.

Police were called about 4.25pm on Saturday (January 12) after reports of a young man on the wrong side of the railings of a bridge by the Cloverleaf junction.

The highway was closed in both directions just after 4.30pm and Greenlands Drive was also shut as officers negotiated with the man.

The man was safely brought down from the bridge and roads were reopened shortly before 7pm.
