Hi: 16° Lo:3° 7 day

OWNERS of a golf club restaurant in the borough is calling on charities to nominate themselves at the 2013 charity of the year.
Paul and Liz Kettle from The Greens, based at Pitcheroak Golf Club, have already raised more than £3,000 for the cancer unit at Birmingham Children's Hospital through a golf day and sponsored head shave.
But now they are hoping to join forces with a charity in the area to raise money throughout the next year.
They said: "As local business owners, we think it's really important to give back to the community. This is why we want to continue our fund-raising activities to date by selecting a local charity to work with in the new year.
"We would love to hear from any Redditch charities that are interested in being our nominated charity in 2013 so that we can come up with ideas and events together to help them raise vital funds.
Anyone interested in being considered should call Paul or Liz on 01527 546063.
