DEFENCES came bearing early Christmas presents as Sunday's BRT Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination fixtures were full of goals.
South Redditch filled their boots as they defeated visitors Dog & Pheasant 7-0 in Division One, whilst Gould (2), Burke and Knight were on the mark in Thomas Brothers' 4-2 home success over Translift Bendi.
In Division Two hosts Mayfly twice came from behind to earn a 4-4 draw against Beoley Village.
There was another eight-goal festive goal spree in Division Three as Wythall Wanderers saw off visitors Sporting Club Redditch 5-3 thanks to Chris Ketebu finishing off a fine display with a run from halfway to score the fifth goal after a clinical Connor Collins hat-trick.
Peter Simpson XI also got amongst the goals as they won 4-1 at Shakespeare.
Andy Nicol netted a hat-trick to inspire Bromsgrove General La Coruna to a 4-2 victory at Alcester Town in the Premier Division and two goals from Martin Young helped Hizza United to a 3-1 win at Wychbold RBL.
Royal Oak saw off visitors Merchants 4-2 to book a place in the semi-finals of the Steven Troth Cup.
