REDDITCH UNITED have rearranged Saturday's abandoned home match against Bashley to take place on Tuesday, December 11 at 7.45pm.
The match, which had passed an early 9am pitch inspection to allow Bashley to depart from Hampshire in good time, began in poor conditions but by the interval, with the game goalless, the incessant rain had taken its toll and the referee had no choice but to call a halt to proceedings.
Anyone who attended the original fixture and has kept their stub can get into the rearranged game for half price. Unfortunately the club has had to pay for the Bashley coach but the management feel they should support fans who were at the game which was abandoned.
The Reds will be seeking a third successive Southern League Premier Division victory when they travel to leaders Hemel Hempstead Town tomorrow and will be encouraged by the fact their hosts have lost three league games on home soil this season and were beaten 4-0 at Banbury United last time out.
The match is scheduled to be the last one in a Reds shirt for striker Jake Reid before the on loan forward returns to parent club AFC Telford United.
The wet weather also caused havoc to the Midland Alliance fixture list as Alvechurch's visit to Gornal Athletic and Studley's home match against Tipton Town both fell victim to waterlogged pitches on Saturday.
Alvechurch's Birmingham Senior Cup last 16 clash against Wolves at Lye Meadow on Wednesday was also postponed and has been rearranged for Tuesday, December 18 at 7.30pm.
Pitches permitting, Alvechurch will entertain Kirby Muxloe tomorrow before another home game against basement boys Ellesmere Rangers on Tuesday, whilst Studley have an important clash at Coleshill Town tomorrow before welcoming Sutton Coldfield Town to the Beehive on Tuesday for a Birmingham Senior Cup last 16 encounter.
The Bees will go into the matches boosted by the returns to the side of winger Myron Semper and midfielder Matty Collins, whilst Danny Charlton has finally signed for the club.
