A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with two bin fires in Winyates.

The incidents happened on Monday (December 10), and affected bin stores in Winforton Close and Dolben Lane. The fires were put out by firefighters after residents smelled smoke and raised the alarm.

It comes after police warned lives were at risk following a spate of bin fires in the area.

The man has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
