A NIGHTCLUBBER was punched in the head during an attack at a town centre venue.
The victim was walking with friends towards the door to the smoking area in Bar Fever, Market Place, between 10.15pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, December 15, when a man he did not know approached him from behind and punched him, causing him to fall to the floor.
While the 21-year-old was on the floor the man punched him a further twice, causing him to need treatment at the Alexandra Hospital for swelling and bruising to his left eye, a cut above his right ear and a bleeding nose.
The offender was white, aged 18 to 20, of stocky build with short black hair and was wearing a shirt and jeans.
