MORE than 100 residents in Alvechurch, Headless Cross and Webheath were left without any water after a pipe burst in nearby Barnt Green.

The incident, which was first reported at 5.30am on Wednesday (December 12), also closed schools for the day including Tardebigge First and Crown Meadow.

A spokeswoman for Severn Trent Water said they managed to bring in water from another network of pipes and all but 20 homes had water supplies again by 11.30am, with the rest expected to be restored by the end of the day after repairs had been carried out.
