BURGLARS were frightened off after breaking into a home in Church Hill.

A woman was upstairs in her Impney Close house when she heard a smashing noise coming from downstairs about 9.30am on Monday (December 17).

As she investigated she saw two men making their way into the back of the house through a broken window. She shouted and screamed at them and they jumped back through the window, running off towards Home Meadow Lane.

One of the burglars was white, about 5ft 7in tall, of slim build and was wearing dark grey casual trousers and a black jumper with an gold Adidas emblem on the front. He was also wearing black gloves and dark coloured hi-top trainers with his trousers tucked in to them.

The other man was also white, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5ft 6in tall and had short cropped light brown hair. He was slightly bigger build than the other man and was wearing dark grey jeans and a black hooded top with a zip up the front.

Anyone with any information should call DC Bob Cockburn on 101, quoting incident number 179-S-171212, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
