Hi: 14° Lo:3° 7 day

DESPITE the wet weather creating havoc with the fixtures, there were still some fireworks in the BRT Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination League on Sunday.
In the Premier Division Austin Ex-Apprentices sparkled in their 3-0 win over Athletico and Wychbold RBL's league campaign rocketed back into life as Aaron Stephens scored a hat trick in a 6-1 win over Alcester Town.
There was a fine display in Division Two as Mayfly came from behind to beat Royal Oak Studley 2-1 with Scott Harris converting a cross for the winner.
Rocklands survived some early pressure against Millfield Rovers before racing into a 3-0 half time lead as Mark Wilkes produced two quality finishes and the goal of the game saw a well placed curling chip from Dan Cook find the net.
Rocklands missed two further good chances in the second half before 'Millies' piled on the pressure, resulting in goals from Duane Grazer and Sean Chance, leaving the home side hanging on for a hard fought 3-2 win.
James Pugh scored twice as Beoley Village won 4-1 at Merchants.
Division Three action saw Peter Simpson XI make it six league matches unbeaten with a 4-1 win over Shakespeare, whilst Winyates Wanderers and Washford Lions Reserves shared the spoils in a six-goal thriller.
Bromsgrove General La Coruna survived a BRT Terry Cup upset at home to FC Club as they won 4-2 and Matthew Biddle bagged a hat-trick as Webheath ended Hizza United's Keith Turner Cup hopes with a 5-2 win.
This coming Sunday's key games see the top two in Division One go head-to-head as CBH Fasteners host Redditch Cricket Club at Studley Sports & Social Club, whilst Bell Studley take on Sporting Club Redditch at the top of Division Three at Pathways.
