ARMY explosive experts were called to a house in Matchborough after a resident found two rocket launchers.

The man discovered the weapons in an area of undergrowth on Wednesday (December 12) afternoon.

After taking the items back to his home, he called police who sent out army explosive experts to the property on Croome Close.

No evacuation was needed and the items were taken to Redditch Police Station for further examination yesterday morning (Thursday).

A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said they are continuing inquiries into where the rocket launchers came from.
