Plans reveal new food court look for the Kingfisher

By Connie Osborne Friday 14 December 2012 Updated: 14/12 10:14

THIS is what the Kingfisher Shopping Centre could look like if plans submitted to Redditch Borough Council for a new food court are approved.

The old T J Hughes store and area around the Apollo Cinema is set to be transformed and rebranded as The Hub, with 18,775sq ft of restaurants and a seating area out on the mall. The cinema itself also looks set to be rebranded following its takeover by Vue and there will also be room for a new gym.

No details have been released about the restaurant companies the centre is negotiating with but Nando's has been long rumoured to be interested.

The move is part of wider efforts to boost Redditch's night-time economy.
