A BROTHER and sister duo took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall to show off their talent.

Selena and Reuben Buffong had the chance to perform with the Penzance Youth Strings Orchestra as part of a music concert at the venue last Wednesday (November 14).

Performing as Star, the urban duo from Redditch are currently studying at the British Academy of New Music, whose past students include Ed Sheeran and Rita Ora.

They applied to be part of the concert through Access to Music, performing in regional and national heats in Birmingham before being told they had been successful.

Selena told the Standard: "It was really good and kind of surreal. It was definitely a proud to be British kind of moment.

"The collaboration went down really well. It was a different kind of style for us so we are really happy with that.

"We met a lot of talented musicians from different genres and it opened our eyes to different music so it was an amazing experience."

The pair are now working on two singles which they hope will launch their career within the industry.
