AN ELDERLY man was kicked after falling to the floor after two men demanded his wallet.

The victim, in his 60s, was walking along a dirt track in a wooded area near Lodge Pool Drive about 7.15am last Friday (November 9) when he was confronted.

He tried to run away but he slipped and fell on his hands and knees where he was then kicked.

A passer-by then chased off the attackers who left empty-handed.

A man and a youth have been arrested on suspicion of robbery. Both have been bailed until December 15.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information, including the member of the public who intervened, to contact Det Con Jake Wright on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 12-N-091112 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
