THE BROMSGROVE Highway was closed for almost two hours after a crash involving a car and a lorry.

Police closed the Bromsgrove-bound lane around the Headless Cross junction shortly after the incident at 6.50am this morning (Monday).

The driver of a black Peugeot 207 was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board as a precaution and taken to the Alexandra Hospital by ambulance. The central reservation barrier was also damaged. Sand was also used to clear up fuel spilt on the carriageway.
