THE MATCH of the day in the BRT Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination League on Sunday was the clash of the top two in Division Three in which Bell Studley got the better of visitors Wythall Wanderers 3-1 thanks to goals from Dan Beauchamp, Tom Daniell and Stephen Obinna.

Third placed Millfield Rovers won the big game in Division Two against second placed visitors Woodland 3-1 courtesy of two goals from Sean Chance and one from Kieran Waldron.

Yet another hat-trick from Dave Phelan helped JMC United to a 5-1 Division One win over visitors Studley Leisure, whilst South Redditch recorded their third win in a row as goal machine Declan Gilson grabbed two in a 3-1 home win over second placed CBH Fasteners.

Hosts FC Club and Translift Bendi shared the points in a 2-2 thriller.

In the Premier Division, James Blake and Brendan Hicks both scored hat-tricks as leaders Black Horse beat visitors Wychbold RBL 6-0, Church Hill kept up the pressure with a 3-1 win over visitors Hizza United and Austin Ex-Apprentices won 4-1 at home to Alcester Town.

Bottom placed Division Three side Washford Lions Reserves produced the performance of the day when they travelled to Abberley Vale in the Kidderminster Hospital Cup and came away with a fantastic 3-1 win over their Kidderminster League opponents.

The highlights of Sunday's fixtures will be Bartley Green Sunday's entry into the Carlsberg FA Sunday Cup when they travel to Coleshill Town FC to play Punchbowl.

Any Black Horse versus Church Hill fixture is eagerly awaited and this coming Sunday they play for a place in round three of the BRT Terry Cup.
