Lead stolen from shop roofs

A MAN has been arrested after reports of lead being stripped from businesses in Woodrow Centre.

Officers were called to the scene about 11pm on Monday (October 15) after reports of the metal being taken from the roofs of William Hill bookmakers and the Spicy Grill takeaway.

Police say a large quanity of lead flashing was stolen. A man was arrested on suspicion of theft and is currently in custody at Redditch Police Station, assisting officers with their inquiries.
